Waiting...

On a cold damp, January day with a sky the colour of an old saucepan, the green fields of Glastonbury seem infinitely far away. Even the website belies the transformation that will occur as a recalcitrant sun eventually decides to make the effort and tear away the clouds, that seem so entrenched in the skies above a grey and inclement land.

So as I tread the pavements coated with the grime of winter, I take comfort from the fact that this grey will pass and give way to the pleasant fields of Avalon in the not too distant future

A Glastonbury Tale 2009 (1)

Last year A Glastonbury Tale followed the build up to our first trip to Glastonbury. When it started out I had no idea where it was going and how mind-blowingly amazing Glastonbury was going to turn out to be. 2009's here and a new Glastonbury starts to germinate in the countryside of Somerset just as it does in mind.

The tickets were secured on 5th October, 2008 and we bought them tonight! It's on!

We've jus been watching the Extras on 'Glastonbury Anthems The Best of Glastonbury 1994 - 2004' DVD. 'A Visit To The Glastonbury Greenfields' brought all the excitement flooding back - just cannot wait!

One word sums it all up - anticipation.
